Our Story:

I founded Cotton Candy Creche as a local mum in Barking and Dagenham who knows first-hand how hard childcare can be. With my two‑and‑a‑half‑year‑old daughter growing up fast and no “village” around me, I often struggled to attend appointments, interviews, or simple errands where children aren’t allowed. I realised other parents must be feeling the same.

I was born and raised in Romania and moved to the UK at 14. After completing my education here, I built a 16‑year career working with organisations like PwC, Queen Mary University and Citibank, and spent two years working closely with children at McDonald’s and Walt Disney World. But becoming a single mum changed everything and showed me how challenging childcare can be without family nearby.

Back home, my mum always had neighbours, friends, and relatives to rely on. Here, moving from area to area and raising a child alone, that support simply wasn’t there.

I’m a qualified paediatric first aider, fire marshal, and hold safeguarding and child protection training. Cotton Candy Creche was born from the need for flexible, trustworthy, ad‑hoc childcare — the kind of support I wished I had. A place where parents feel safe, supported, and never alone.
